The Technische Universität München (TUM) awarded him a PhD for his research in microelectronics engineering as well as a degree in business planning and technology-driven start-up management at the Center for Digital Technology and Management (CDTM). He worked as an Assistant Professor managing both research and education projects where he also taught at the German Institute for Science and Technology in Singapore.
