Karl previously worked as a researcher for:
- the Laboratory for Turbulence Research in Aerospace and Combustion at Monash University;
- the Weather Energy Research Unit at CSIRO;
- the Institut de Mécanique des Fluides de Toulouse; and
- the Cosmic Ray Group at Kyoto University on scholarship from the Global Centres of Excellence.
His prior education and experience has been instrumental in allowing Karl to quickly understand the intricacies of innovations in many different technology areas, however complex or simple, and effectively distil the essential inventive concepts to prepare thorough patent specifications for his clients.
Karl started his IP career with FB Rice in 2014, quickly developing a good understanding of intellectual property rights and associated strategic considerations for businesses, as well as an in-depth knowledge of patents and designs practice. He registered as a patent attorney in early 2017.
