Jacqueline joined the firm in 1995 and has experience handling extensive patent portfolios for local clients and universities. She provides a comprehensive range of patent services, including searching and freedom to operate advice, drafting and prosecuting patent applications, oppositions in Australia and New Zealand, re-examination procedures, infringement and validity, and strategic patenting advice. Jacqueline has handled patent matters in overseas jurisdictions, including New Zealand, the United States, Europe, China, Japan, India, UAE, Oman, Israel and South Korea.
Prior to joining us, Jacqueline obtained her doctorate in organic chemistry and held a position as a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Organic Chemistry department at Cambridge University, UK. Her doctorate involved research on biosynthetic models for the formation of naturally occurring anti-malarial and prostaglandin-like compounds. Her Postdoctoral research was directed towards the synthesis of mannosidase inhibitors for use in enzyme purification.
Jacqueline is a registered Australian and New Zealand Patent Attorney.
