Dae Woong Oh

Dae joined the firm in 2013, having worked as a patent search/analysis manager for a patent information firm in Sydney for over 7 years and as a Korean patent attorney for a boutique IP firm in Korea. He has extensive experience and skills in the field of patent searching and analysis. He registered as an Australian and New Zealand patent attorney in 2016.

Specialising in patent matters related to all areas of chemistry, Dae has extensive experience in patent prosecution in Australia, New Zealand and overseas for a diverse range of technologies including organic chemistry, pharmaceuticals, biochemistry, medicinal chemistry, formulation technologies, agrochemicals, metal alloys and biotechnology.

He is actively involved in preparing and prosecuting patent applications, conducting patent oppositions and providing advice on patentability, freedom-to-operate and patent landscapes for his clients. He has successfully prosecuted a large number of patent applications before the Patent Offices in Australia and New Zealand.

Dae is fluent in Korean and regularly works with FB Rice attorneys conducting business with Korean firms.

Dae is a registered Australian Patent and Trade Mark Attorney and registered Korean Patent Attorney.
