This week has seen the passing of the Medical Research Future Fund (MRFF) in the Senate. The fund, established by the Australian Government, will be the largest of its kind in the world, ensuring that Australia remains at the forefront of medical research.
The Association of Australian Medical Research Institutes believes this will help not just the health and medical research sector, but ultimately the entire country
There will be significant new funding to medical research, and the Fund is expected to provide over $400 million to researchers over the next four years, and $1 billion a year from 2022-23.
