FB Rice has successfully renewed the Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA) Employer of Choice for Gender Equality (EOCGE) citation for 2023-25. WGEA is the Australian Government’s workplace gender equality agency, and this citation includes a select group of 115 employers throughout Australia.
The Employer of Choice for Gender Equality citation encourages, recognises, and promotes organisations' active commitment to achieving gender equality in Australian workplaces. WGEA awards the citation for two years, after which organisations can reapply. We are pleased to renew our citation this year, recognising our continued leadership, planning, and hard work to address the drivers of workplace gender inequality.
In achieving this respected citation, we are among the ranks of many well-known Australian based organisations and companies that are committed to diversity and gender equality. As the only IP firm to make the list in 2022, we’re incredibly proud of our leadership and continued efforts in this area.
“The WGEA Employer of Choice for Gender Equality citation recognises an employer’s efforts to tackle the deep-rooted causes of gender inequality in the workplace,” says Mary Wooldridge, WGEA CEO.
Following a rigorous assessment process, WGEA has named 115 employers as Employer of Choice for Gender Equality. The criteria for the citation cover the following areas:
Under the leadership of Madeleine Kelly and Steve Gledhill, the Inclusion and Diversity Committee at FB Rice remains focused on initiatives that support gender equality and narrow the pay gap, as part of our broader Gender Equity Plan. We recently launched several gender equality initiatives, such as gender-neutral parental leave policy offering 26 weeks of paid leave.
At FB Rice, we prioritise our people and culture. We are committed to advancing gender equality and equity, consistently striving to achieve these goals across all levels of our firm. With the support and guidance from WGEA, we're continuously making strides toward gender parity within our firm and beyond.
